Biography

Mary was born on 21 August 1846, in Birminghham. and christened at St Phillip's, Birmingham on 5 October 1846^[1]. At the time of the 1851 Census the family was residing in Upton-upon-Severn, Worcestershire^[2], but by the 1861 Census had relocated to Winchcombe, Gloucestershire, living in Sudeley Road^[3]. By the time of the next Census in 1871, she had married and set up home in Winchcombe with Charles Stewart and had two children Fred and Martha^[4].
