Catherine was born at sea in 1858 to Jonathan Newman and Harriet (unknown)
She is named after the ship she was born on - Wellfleet.
She married Alfred Day (1845-1912) in 1875 in the Holy Trinity Church, Taradale, Victoria[1][2]
and they had a large family of 12 children.
Catherine Day passed away in 1909[3]
Catherine is buried in the Bendigo Cemetery - Mon C6, grave 9742. Burial Date: 16 March 1909.[4]
Birth information came from Ancestry records however the only birth at sea for NEWMAN is unnamed child of James Newman and Harriet (Marks) on board the "Startled Fawn" in 1856 (#64/1856) (Bolitho-152 06:27, 18 July 2020 (UTC))
