He is the child of John Newman and Leah Scholl

William was on a raft taking logs to Frankfort when he died of a fever and was buried on the riverbank somewhere above Boonesborough. He was married to Rhoda Jane Tincher and they had 5 kids. They lived in Owsley Co., KY
