Hi Ryan, Can we work together on Gene McElrath I have her birth date as 1879 in Iowa She had three sons Clyde Francis born April 6, 1900 Claude Aaron born September 2, 1902 and my grandfather Charles Raymond Newman born February 3, 1905. Your record of her has her passing in 1902 which is not possible. I sent my number in last message. again 216-534-8390. I can text you some resources if you would like.
Hi again

I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! Also noticed you made 376 contributions to Wikitree, thank you! Here at WikiTree we like to have our members involved with others; collaboration is key!

Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors?

Why don't you stop by the One Name Studies project, to see if there's already a name study for (surname) going on? The current leaders for that are Doug Lockwood and Alison Andrus. They would be happy to get you started.

Again, thanks for volunteering to work on Pre-1700 profiles!

Dorothy

Hi, I am Dorothy, a WikiTree mentor!! Are you enjoying your time on WikiTree so far?

Now that you have had a little time to try our site, there are a few more features you may find useful:

For instance, ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards; including some tips on writing biographies

Also a friendly reminder about adding sources and references to your profile. Sources are critically important for genealogy and you will be helping future genealogists by listing where the information you've added came from. This page describes different kinds of sources: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Sources

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Hi Ryan!

You are now a confirmed member of WikiTree! Thank you for volunteering. Make sure to add more TAGS to follow as you grow the family tree.

Wow!!! You're the 4,807th Newman profile on Wikitree! I bet your 'cousins' on Wikitree will benefit greatly once you add your insightful collaboration and sourced research.

Have fun and make sure to join in the Question of the Week: How many different spellings of your surname have you found and have any helped break down a wall? and share your answer!

If you need additional help, our Mentors Project is a friendly group of volunteers who are glad to assist you with WikiTree-specific problems.

See you in the branches---

Hello Ryan -

Welcome to Wikitree! I'm so glad you found us!

Wikitree is one BIG world-wide family tree that is freely accessible to everyone. Our goal is to have one profile per person which means we all work together as a BIG friendly and polite collaborative team!

If you are interested in sharing your research and want to collaborate to add your family, please fill out the TAGS on your profile page and click SAVE TAG(s) AND VOLUNTEER.

Each Tag should be a single surname like SMITH or single location like CANADA with a comment explaining why this subject interests you.
