1. Is there an agreement that the Anna Newman who married John Bryant Franklin, aft.1769-bef.1850 is the same person who married Samuel Williams, abt.1777-abt.1853? The death date listed for Anna Margaretta (Newman) Franklin is the date listed for Anna (Newman) Williams in the Virginia death records for Anna Williams, wife of Samuel Williams and is listed as being born in Bedford County, Virginia.[3] The birth dates and locations in the two profiles are different. However, looking at the burial place of Anna Margaretta (Newman) Franklin , it would make sense that they are the same person.
4. If not the same person, then Anna (Newman) Williams should be removed from this family. And the death date of Anna Margaretta (Newman) Franklin double checked for accuracy. I did not find any mention of an Anna Franklin listed in the Virginia death records as dying in 1858, only Anna Williams. BJS
5. I have been searching for sources that might help clear this up, but so far have been unsuccessful. If any descendant of this line is willing to do additional research, I am sure it would be appreciated!! If anyone resolves this issue, please feel free to remove the research questions section. BJS
