LaFollette TN.Nov. 2004 Illa Mae Bailey, age 76 of LaFollette died Nov. 2 at her home, after a long battle with breast cancer. She attended Long Hollow Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Lucy NEWPORT; son and daughter in law, Stanley and Janice Bailey; brothers, Alonzo and Paul Newport. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, ELVIN Bailey; sons and daughters in law, Herman and Cleda Bailey of Jacksboro, Lynn and Pam Bailey of LaFollette, Eddie Bailey of Jacksboro, Danny and Renee Bailey of LaFollette, Michael and Rebecca Bailey of LaFollette; daughters and sons in law, Florence and Lynn Ward of Jacksboro, Erma and James Hatmaker of LaFollette, Joann and Dexter Wilson of LaFollette, Cathy and Ricky Silcox of Jacksboro; brother and sister in law, Ray and Willa Newport; 23 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Funeral services were Nov. 4 at Cross Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eric Gibby and Rev. George Asbury officiating. Interment was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Pallbearers were Greg Ward, David Ward, Mark Bailey, Kevin Bailey, Richard Silcox and Anthony Newport. Honorary Pallbearers were Jason Wilson, Dallas Wilson, Austin Bailey, Zachary Bailey, Nicholas Bailey, Christopher Bailey and David Johnson. Cross Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
