Edith was born in 1894, the daughter of Thomas Newport and Bertha Starnes.[1]
She married John Smith in 1913.[2]
She passed away in late 1960[3] and was buried in Wakapuaka Cemetery, Wakapuaka, Nelson, New Zealand.[4][5] Note that Edith is named as Ethel on her marriage certificate. Some information is from Newport History.[6]
