John Thomas Keeney married Mrs. Emma Jane McCoy on 2 November 1885 in Johnson County Kansas. She was the daughter of Charles Henry Newton and Nancy Jane Williams and the widow of John McCoy. She brought two girls to the marriage, Minnie and Maude Effie McCoy[1]
Have not located Emma & John McCoy. I am unsure where they were for this enumeration. John died by the mid 1880's when Emma married John T. Keeney. Minnie & Maude are with their maternal grandparents. 'John McCoy' is noted in Minnie's marriage record.
See photos and John's profile for additional information.
See photo. John Died in 1922. Della and her son Ralph have been living with Emma since 1920. Della is listed with a new last name and as divorced. It looks like the enumerator had a hard time with Ralph's surname....and started to strike out Bradley.
See photo of DC. The informant was Della Keeney Bradley. I have not researched Emma's family deeply---some more would have to be done to understand her mother's name on this document "Phoebe Moulton" vs the Nancy listed on the census page.
