His father was probably from New Braintree, Massachusetts but also lived in Southborough and Marlborough, Massachusetts. His parents moved to Marlborough New Hampshire after the children were born. Luke Newton and Sally Hayden were married Nov 21, 1782 in Southborough, Massachusetts. [2]
He resided on the farm with his brother Elnathan, was joint owner with him, and came into full possession of the place on the death of the latter. [1]
He died on July 22, 1839 in Marlborough, New Hampshire [3] and is buried there at Meeting House Cemetery. [4]
