Sarah was born in 1829. Her parents were [[Newton-8654|Thomas Newton] and Ann Ford. She was christened on 10 January 1830 at Silkstone, Yorkshire.[1]

Sarah died 1838 when she was 8 years old. She was a victim of the Huskar Colliery disaster. [2] She was buried on 7 July 1838 in Silkstone Church Yard with the other children who died the same day.[3]
