Hi Edna, my you have done a lot of research on Nibletts. We are connected at Niblett and Puckett.

ps - please see https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Harris_Families_from_England_to_America for where we got on Harris family research. The main reason they're not easy to sort is that Harris researchers don't agree on which Thomas/William/Richard, etc. goes with which Harris family.

Hi Edna! As Linda mentioned, the Harris families are really hard to sort out. It took me the better part of a couple of years to straighten out Harris-751 and his wife Adria Hoare-184.

I checked to see if we were related through the Harrises & discovered we're related through Francis Awbrey - "Edna and Liz are 7th cousins once removed". Francis is son of John, and Stuart & I have been looking for a cousin to see about a triangulation on dna. Have you had a DNA test? (See the DNA section & G2G question on Awbrey-38.)

Playing with the Relationship Finder a bit, I found our Harris connection - we're 7th cousins once removed, both descendants of Arthur Harris.

Cheers, Liz

If you have more information about Major William Harris, please update his profile. I gave up trying to sort out the Harris profiles. I am not closely related and don't have any additional resources.

If you have more information about Robert Harris, please feel free to edit his profiled. I am related, but not closely and I don't have any more information than what I have already posted.

yup, it is. I worked on trying to straighten out the Harrises in WikiTree for years. I made some progress, but I have recently given up on ever discovering who "my" Thomas Harris is. I know I descend from Edward Harris-3349, who names Thomas his father in his will, but which Thomas, his mother, and other ancestors are not clear. It seems that each major Harris researcher has his own theory that conflicts with others' theories.

Before my attempts to sort them stalled (and I had to remove half of what I'd been told), this page was my worksheet for them:

I'd be happy to add you as a manager. Just send me a trusted list request.

Cheers, Liz

Hi Edna, I think I got Mary, John, and Absolom Stratton all sorted back out. Thanks!

Thanks for your response, Edna, but the children are all her children, the issue is with the estimated dates on the profiles. The sources clearly indicate that they all belong to her, I will try to update with dates that do not cause this confusion.
