I Thomas Nichols of FC, for 34 pounds 5 shillings currency and 1829 Ibs. tob., bargains and assigns one servant man named Timothy Murphy; one servant woman named Elizabeth Mills, 20 head ofhogs, one cow and yearling; 2 feather beds and furniture, 2 iron pots now in the possession of the said Thomas Nicholls, agreed that in consideration of the following different payments of money and tobacco hereafter expressed; that is to pay 1st May 1759, 8 pounds 11 shillings 10 pence money and 4571bs. crop tobacco; also 1st May 1760, and same sum of money and 4571bs. tob.; also the same sums in 1761 and in 1762, plus the costs of the suit, then this bill of sale is void. Thomas Nichols recorded lease II March 1765, made 15 Feb. 1765 between Richard Beall of Samuel, for rents and covenants herein, lets tract called "Barsheba," at a bounded wild cherry tree near Rock Creek, running up creek, with tract called Dan, to second bound tree ofDan, and first bound tree of Joseph Park and the third tree of Hennitage, and with the meanders of said creek, containing 5 1/2 acres. for term of 21 years from date hereof, to pay £25 gold or silver at the different payments and the said Thomas Nichols, and Thomas Nichols will not keep stock on the premises and Richard Beall will find timber for the necessary repairs ofthe demised premises.
