Biography

Arthur Nicholls GC was awarded the George Cross.

Arthur Nichols was the son of Joseph Crane Nicholls and his wife Josephine (maiden name Campbell) Some sources may call the family Crane-Nicholls. He served as an officer in the Coldstream Guards. He died, aged 33 on 11 February 1944 in Albania. He was a member of Special Operations Executive.[1]


In 1933 he was promoted to Lt in the Territorial Army. He served in the Royal Artillery.[2]
