Biography

There is presently little in the way of documentation of Ann Nichols. She is believed the second wife of Gideon Rathbun who she would have married sometime after the death of his first wife, Dorcas Kenyon, in 1766. No marriage record has been found.

It may be read that Ann is the daughter of Stephen and Sarah Nichols however this is undocumented. An Ann Nichols, daughter of Joseph and Mary Nichols, was born 13 Jan 1738 at West Greenwich, Rhode Island.[1]
