Ransom is NOT a Centenarian. The 1870 & 1880 census records says he was born abt 1868. His 1900 census says May 1871, his 1910 census says 1860. He used a false dob of 1844 later in life to appear older. He was in fact abt 83 years old when he died, not 106 as claimed on his death certificate.
-NOTE: Some family trees show a daughter named Ida Alice Nichols-Pierce, but she was born in 1883, and Ransom would have been only 15 at the time. I do not think he is her father.
Ransom was born in 1868. He passed away in 1947.
