Biography

Jane was born around 1764 in Frederick Co MD. She was the daughter of John Nichols and Martha Payne. The John Nichols family moved to Bedford Co VA in September of 1779 according to the depositions of her brother John Nichols Jr. In 1783 Jane married Edward Hancock in Bedford Co VA.
