Biography
Joseph married first Ruth Thompson, daughter of John & Ruth (Curtiss) Thompson, on 22 Nov 1733 at Stratford, Fairfield, CT - parents of Isaac, Nathaniel, Ruth & Silas Nichols
After the death of his wife Ruth he married Peninah Sherman, daughter of Nathaniel & Abigail (Burr) Sherman about 1752
His will is dated 27 November 1773 and proved on 9 April 1774 in Fairfield. He mentions his wife Peninah, sons, Nathaniel, Isaac, and Silas, and his daughter Ruth Prince.[1]
