In 1901 Sam Nicholson (age 77, farmer) lived in Middle River with his wife Jane (68) and son Angus D (27) - according to this census he came to Canada in 1830.[7][8]
By the next census Samuel's wife Jane is widowed, so Samuel passed away sometime between 1901 and 1911.
