Biography

Mary was born about 1846.

Mary married Sydney Gilling on 22 Jan 1868, at St Paul Church, Adelaide, SA., James is listed as her father, with Jane Nicholson (of Rundle St, Adelaide - mother or sister) as a witness. [1] [2]

Immigration

Mary arrived in South Australia on 23 March 1848, on the ship "David Malcolm" with her father (James), mother (?Jane), and brother, James [3]

Mary travelled to London, England on 12 Feb 1871, on the ship "St. Vincent", with her husband (Sydney) and infant (Sydney). [4]

Mary (aged 38) returned to Australia (alone), arriving in Victoria on the ship "Arabic" in December 1886. [5]
