Biography

Eliza was born in 1865 in Horsham Sussex. She is the daughter of William Nicholson and Maria Burrage.

Eliza appears to have been quite transitory during her lifetime, living and working as a servant in numerous locales.

In December 1891in Horsham, she married James Brazier, with whom she had 2 children, but the marriage was short-lived due to James' death in 1896. Eliza then seemed to continue her nomadic ways, appearing in London and Oxfordshire in subsequent census.

Research Note

We are unable to pin down a definitive death date for Eliza. There are multiple records in that name in numerous locations around the country, and none are verifiable. We have shown her death date as being 'after 1911'.
