Amanda P Nickens was born on November 26, 1916 in Prince William, Virginia, United States, daughter of Reuben Lloyd Nickens (1856–1963) and Mary Frances Brooks (1886–1946).^[1]

Amanda married Charles M Bowins (born on March 1, 1917 in Adamstown, Frederick; son of Charles Milford Bowins and Mary Gertrude (Thompson) Bowins).

Amanda died on September 3, 2002 in Frederick, Frederick, Maryland, United States, aged 85. She was buried in Bartonsville Community Cemetery, Bartonsville, Frederick County, Maryland.^[1]
