Rebecca Nickerson was born circa 1720, the daughter of Robert Nickerson and Rebecca Jones of Chatham, Barnstable, Mass[1]
In 1741, she married John Hopkins, the son of Elisha Hopkins and Experience Scudder[1][2], and their children (all born in Chatham, Massachusetts) included:
In 1760, John and Rebecca emigrated to Liverpool, Nova Scotia, and were among the first proprietors of the town.[4]. His sons John and Elisha are close business associates of Simeon Perkins, and John, Sr is mentioned several times in Simeon Perkins Diary[5]
