William married Janet Cowser on 20 March 1835 in Cumbernauld, Dunbartonshire, Scotland.[1]
In the 1861 census William (age 48), Limestone Miner, was the head of household in Barnhill Wingate's Land Upper Flat, Cumbernauld, Dumbartonshire.[2]
William died on 24 May 1873 and was buried in Fallbrook Cemetery, Tioga County, Pennsylvania, United States.[3]
