Biography

Thomas was born in 1803, the son of William Nicolls and Bridget Murphy. He married Maria Cluett in 1822. They had one daughter Anne Maria Nicolls (1825-1875). [1]

Hi again,

He was born at Tullamore in King's County not Kerry. He married Maria, daughter of William Cluett of Marnhull in Dorset and "relict" of Thomas Bevan Rawes, at St. Peter in Guernsey on 5th December 1822.

Anna Maria was baptised at Crewkerne on 3rd April 1825.

Thomas died of fever at sea en route from McCarthys Island to St. Mary's River in Gambia. His date of death was 9th August 1834, his widow claimed her army pension on 26th December 1834.
