Biography

Nancy was born on 15 March 1820. She was the daughter of Peter Nida and Elizabeth Shuck.

Nancy married Allen Drummond on 4 November 1840 at Gallia, Ohio.[1]

Nancy passed away on 6 August 1849 during a cholera epidemic as did her daughter and her infant son. Nancy was buried in the Drummond-Folden Cemetery, Walnut Township, Gallia County, Ohio.[2]

Lora, you and Greg should work on merging the duplicate profiles on the Peter & Elizabeth Nida[y]] descendants. The only main difference is if the names are Nida or Niday. Our ancestors were often victims of census workers spelling errors and in Gallia County, my ancestors enunciated any name ending with an A, was said by adding a "Y". Lecta, Ohio was always enunciated as "Lecty" by by grandmother. My 2nd Gr grandfather went by Nida and his daughter Rosina always wrote her maiden name as Niday. Niday-27 and Nida-94 appear to represent the same person because: looks like accidental duplicates or else that need dates corrected.
