John Niday was born near Martinsburg, West Virginia - raised in what is now Craig County, Virginia - probably went to Gallia County, Ohio in 1828. His brothers William, Henry and perhaps some children of his brother Jacob went to Iowa with him. In one record it is said his wife was Elizabeth Harless - but apparently this is incorrect. Niday-73 and Niday-29 appear to represent the same person because: they have the same birth and death date, same first and last name same wife, info in bio in both Niday-73 and Niday-29 are the same, even thought they have different middle names.
