The couple reports they have been married for 9 years and that 3 of their 4 children are still living. All report they and their parents were born in Kentucky. George is employed as an iron molder. Sheet 4B of the census shows George Nie (38), wife Mary (38) and children George, Jr. (17), Clarence (11), Irene (9) and Stanley (6) living in the home at 1242 Holman Street which they rent. The couple reports they have been married for 19 years and that 4 of their 6 children are still living. All report they and their parents were born in Kentucky, except for George and Mary who report their parents were born in Germany. George is employed as a molder in a machine shop and son George is employed as a jeweler in the manufacturing business. [2]

Sheet 1B of the census shows George Nye (46), wife Mary (48) and children George (27), Clarence (21), Irene (20) and Stanley (17) living in the home at 1232 Holman Street which they rent. All report they and their parents were born in Kentucky except for Clarence who is shown as being born in Ohio. George and Mary both report their parents were born in Germany. George is employed as a molder in a foundry, son George is employed as a commercial traveler for a wholesale jeweler, son Clarence owns a newstand, Irene is a asst forelady at an art company and Stanley is a newsboy. 1930 - Kentucky, Kenton County, Park Hills, District 47, 3 Apr 1930
Sheet 2B of the census shows George Nye (37) as the head of the house of the owner of the home valued at $10,000 at 23 Rose Circle. Also living with him is his brother Stanley (26) and his sister Irene (29) and her husband Albert Hohnhurst (33). All report they and their parents were born in Kentucky. George is a jewelry salesman, Stanley is a starter at a bus station and Albert is a bill clerk for the rail road. [6]

Cause of death is being investigated. His parents are listed as George Nie and Mary Bechtold, both of Covington. The informant was Stanley Nie, his brother of 2159 Clifford Avenue in Covington. He was buried at St. Johns Cemetery on 6 Jul 1936.
