Biography

Holger Nielsen attended the 1896 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, representing Denmark. Holger competed in fencing, shooting, and the discus. He place 3rd in the sabre event in fencing. In the shooting competition, he placed 2nd in the free pistol and 3rd in the rapid fire pistol. He also took part in the military rifle event, but quit after the first day of the competition. In the discus, he did not place in the top 4.[1][2][3]
