Biography
Born in Vinje,Telemark and christened as illegitimate son of Niels Jonsen 22 Dec 1754[1] (Mother not recorded)
Father engaged and married to Sove Halvorsdotter in Vinje 25 Nov 1755[2] and 26 Jan 1756[3], respectively.
Father bought Viglesdalen, Årdal, Rogaland in 1769
Married from Tengesdal in Årdal in 1771[4]
Bought Viglesdalen from father-in-law Salve Knudson 6 Nov 1776[5]
Moved to Tveit, Årdal before census 1801
Returned to Viglesdalen
Notes
Eikeland says he died in 1839, but if so, he was erroneously called Niels Nielson, 80 years old[6]
