Biography
Walter was a son of Matthias Nielson and Norene (Treen) Nielson. He joined the Sherbrooke Fusilier Regiment in 1942. Following the Second World War he attended the University of Saskatchewan and then began his career as an education office in the RCAF. He retired as a Major in 1979.[1]
