Found this marriage but no indication which Maria Nienaber is in play. Neither of them are shown as widower or widow, but the date 1816 could be an indication that Nienaber -53 was married again. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSV8-69VY-4?i=155&cat=993682
Without any proof this is only speculation. More research needed
On page 25 of "Die Nienabers van Suidelike Afrika" she was reported as being a widow for 71 years and no mention is made of the marrige to Esterhuizen. Needs investigating.
Taking into account that her Smit husband only died in 1815 she could not have been connected to the above
