Christian and Christina along with their children Martin (Civil War Veteran), Peter (Civil War Veteran), Johann Peter (Civil War Veteran), Peter Joseph, Christina and Mathias (Civil War Veteran), emigrated from Prussia (Germany) on 19 May 1846, arriving in America in June 1846, they were among the early settlers of Johnsburg, McHenry County, Illinois, before moving on to Kenosha, Wisconsin
Christian and Christina were the parents of nine known children, all born in Steinborn, Dist. Bitburg-Prum, Rhineland, Prussia (Germany) , A son and three daughters died before Christian and Christina came to America
