Sentence - 7 years and 3 months Transportation to the Colonies.
Departure - Sailed on the Convict Ship Strathfieldsaye 11th Feb 1836 Portsmouth, Hampshire, England.
Arrival - 13th June 1836 Sydney NSW Australia, Listed as a Blacksmith.
Ticket of Leave Issued - 14th Oct 1840. No - 40/2244 for the Port Macquarie District.
Ticket of Leave Cancelled - Stealing from a dwelling/house. Sentenced to the Goulburn District and six months in Irons.
Certificate of Freedom Issued - 24th August 1843. No 43/1384.
1st marriage - Eliza Powell. 30th Jan 1845 at the Holy Trinity C of E Kelso/Bathurst NSW Australia. Settled in the Cowra District, Milburn Creek NSW. Then in 1853 moved to Pepper's Creek (Rockley) NSW with wife and 3 sons William, Daniel and John. Eliza died 1869 after giving birth to well over a dozen children, where most died at birth or early infancy.
2nd marriage - Mary Ann Davis, Nee Nixon. 20 Feb 1872 at Rockley NSW. Nil issue.
First Land Sale at Rockley on 29th August 1853. Daniel purchased two land lots, 9 and 10 of section 2. Upon lot 9 he was to later build the family home and lot 10 established a Blacksmiths Shop.
21st Oct 1853 Bathurst Quarter Sessions. Daniel and a Charles Diamond where found guilty of stealing at Pepper's Creek on the 14 Sept 1853. A quantity of American Dollars and 150 pound Sterling, the property of Mr. Abraham Hanbury. Both where sentenced to three years hard labour on the roads. 15th Nov 1853 Daniel was sent to Cockatoo Island Sydney to serve out his sentence.
1855 - No 55/95 for the Goulburn District
15th Nov 1865 Rockley, Bathurst NSW. Charged with his son Daniel Jr the lesser charge for possession of stolen Pork. Sentenced to 3 months imprisonment or 10 pound fine. He paid the fine.
7th March 1866 Rockley, Bathurst NSW. Charged with pig stealing and sentenced to 12 months hard labour at Bathurst Gaol.
