Stina Cajsa Nilsdotter was the daughter of crofter Nils Andersson in Nytorp and his wife Anna Nilsdotter. She was born in 1805, the first child in the marriage of her parents. She was born 8 March and entered in the birth book as Cathrina Greta, which seems to be a mistake.[1][2][3][4]
Stina Cajsa Nilsdotter, serving with comminister Brolin in Gillberga married parish tailor Eric Frödin 19 September 1824.[5] To begin with they lived in Skogsberga, like her parents.[4] Their first son died in infancy. When their son, Carl Fredric was born, they lived in Penningeby.[6][7] They had four daughters, three of them died in infancy. Then Eric Frödin died 26 August 1842.[8]
The widow Stina Cajsa Nilsdotter married Gustaf Adolf Wall 29 November 1844. Their daughter Anna Sophia had been born in October.[9]
They lived in Sandvik, together with Stina Cajsa's tailor son, Carl Fredric Frödin, and his family. The current vicar is taking a more formal approach to her name, recording her as Christina Cathrina Nilsdotter.[10] Later they lived in Elgdalen in Stångberga, where Gustaf Adolf Wall died in 1873.[11] Christina Cathrina stayed there for a few years, but when she could no longer manage, she moved to the poorhouse.[12] The widow Christina Catharina Nilsdotter died in the poorhouse of Garn parish 14 December 1876.[13]
