Hi Bonnie,

Thanks for having a big heart and adopting the Orphaned Profiles. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention those profiles need.

I noticed that several of the profiles need GEDCOM cleanup. One of our mentors created a YouTube video that explains her process. I recommend adding links to the profiles of family members, rather than removing as recommended in the video.

Let me know if you have any questions on how to find and record sources, merge duplicates, clean up gedcom biographies, and interpret the Suggestions report. I'm here to help!

Could you please take a look at Caroline Holland-102, one of your profiles.

This person was born more than 150 years ago and so the profile should be open. Please remove the green lock.

Thanks

Bonnie, just signed up on wiki, I am the GGGreat grandson of Nathan Smiley, born in Ireland in 1797, emigrated to US when he was 4 with his sister and widowed mother. There seems to be some confusion about the different Nathaniel Rusts...I have added prefixes to show that Nathaniel Rust V is listed as the brother of Nathaniel Rust IV on the profile Rust-18. Thanks!

HI Bonnie - I have proposed a merge of Ballard-55 and Ballard-1253. Please approve this merge as they seem to represent the same person.
Hi Bonnie,

Three merge proposals heading your way, all into Witt-52. Trying to clean up all the John Witts out there. Appreciate your help. Shirley
