Biography

James Garfield Nisbet was born on 24 Jan 1883 (note: 1887 was crossed out and changed to 1883) in Houlton, Aroostook, Maine, United States, son of William Parker Nisbet (1836–1901) and Mary Elizabeth Faulkner (~1840–1917). son of Wm P Nisbet Cabinet maker and Mary Elizabeth Faulkner, in Houlton, Aroostook, Maine, USA, was born on 24 Jan 1883 in Houlton, Aroostook, Maine, United States.[1]

In the 1900 census James G (age 18), Day Laborer, was the single son of William Nisbet in Presque Isle, Aroostook, Maine.[2]

James Garfield (age 23 (sic)), son of William P Nisbet & Lizzie E Faulkner, married Roxie Victoria Brown on 25 Dec 1909 in Dexter, Penobscot, Maine, United States.[3] She was daughter of William Leonard Brown and Alice Celia (Levenseller) Bamber) on 25 Dec 1909 in Dexter, Penobscot.

In the 1910 census James (age 25), Laborer, was the married son-in-law of Alice Bamber in Dexter, Penobscot, Maine, United States.[4]

Kenneth Eugene Nisbet , son of James G Nisbet & Roxie V Nisbet, was born on 29 Sep 1912 in Presque Isle, Aroostook, Maine, United States.[5]

Roy Omar Nisbet, son of James Nisbett & Roxy V Nisbett, was born on 11 Apr 1911 in Dexter, Penobscot, Maine, United States.[6]

In the 1930 census James (age 47 divorced), was a Plumber, and was a boarder in the household of Maud B Card at 113 Spring St., Dexter, Penobscot, Maine, United States.[7]

In the 1940 census James G (age 54 divorced), was Sheet Metal Worker, was still a boarder in the household of Maud B Card in Dexter, Penobscot, Maine.[8]

In the 1950 census James G (age 67) was back living with his previous wife Roxie Victoria Brown , and married head of a household in Dexter, Penobscot, Maine, United States.[9]

James died on 7 Jun 1952 in Bangor, Penobscot, Maine, aged 69. He was buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter, Penobscot County, Maine.[10] [11]
