Biography

James was born about 1780.

He married 1804 ^[1][2] to Mary Clark

His ancestors had resided in the place for some generations back, and, though not exalted in station, uniformly maintained a character of the highest respectability.The farm of Huntly-Wood was lately occupied by a branch of the family. Mr. Nisbet's father, for fifty years, exercised the trade of a joiner, and was succeeded in the business by his son.
