Research Notes

estimated dates are a rough estimate based on other events

David Nisbet son of Archibald Nisbet II (brother of this Barbara) of Carphin says in his will that his Cousin is David Nisbett surgeon in the parish of St Martins in the Field Middelsex
This cousin David surgeon St Martins in the Field Middelsex is son of Robert Nisbet of Greenholm and his wife Barbara Nisbet which would explain the fact they are cousins

The son of Rev Dobie who was married to Catherine of Greenholm said that his grandmother was Barbara Nisbet of Carfin

Some of the Carfin property came into the hands of Greenholm which was probably part of the Greenholm Carphin marriage contract
