Mary Nixon and Samuel Moore were married in Perquimans Co on 5 December 1734; he made his will in Onslow Co on 11 October 1750 in which he named sons Thomas and Samuel Moore, and daughters Sarah, Aletha, and Mary Moore. When Samuel Moore made his will, his wife Mary and son Joshua were already dead. Executors were Obadiah Moore and Theophilus Williams. Clary first married Willie Brown, a son of Abner Brown. Clary and Benjamin Whitfield had no children. He did have three children from his marriage with his first wife Susannah Wilkinson: Joel, Benjamin, and Arcena (per Will Daniel}. Captain John Hardee's wife was Susannah Tyson. Captain Hardee died 12 December 1784, aged 77 years, 8 months, 25 days. [1]
