Biography
Hamilton Nixon, son of Robert Nixon, died late in the year 1830. He had a brother John Nixon who settled in Saint John, New Brunswick.
Hamilton Nixon came to New Brunswick about 1818 and settled at Kelly Creek, Kingsclear Parish, York County. He married Agnes Robinson b. County Tyrone, Ireland, d. Nov 1830.
Hamilton was a blacksmith, at Kelly Creek, York Co., NB. He died from the kick of a horse he was shoeing. From his will, dated 3 Nov. 1830, proved 22 Dec. 1830, it states: Sons Robert Nixon & John Nixon entire estate when they come of age. Daughters: Margaret Jane Nixon, Esther Nixon & Ann Eliza Nixon each a good cow when they come of age.The Birth Date is a rough estimate. See the text for details.
