In 1950's, he received training in modern farming, specially in Horticulture training in Fruit Research Station, Mirpurkhas, where he learnt the technique of grafting, specially mango, and jujube (ٻير) grafting. He then taught that skill to other people in Tando Kaiser area, which helped in the spread of grafted mango varieties, not only in Tando Kaiser, but also in parts of Hyderabad and other districts of Sindh. He had several students in the grafting technique.
