JEAN Ier DE FAYEL (1243-1285)
Translation: If we stick to the information provided by the charters, Philippe II, Sire de Fayel, would not have left a child. On the other hand, Ansout de Fayel, his brother, had several; but we only know his eldest son, Jean. Is the one who. in 1279, ratified as dominant lord, with Adèle his wife, the sale of the tithes of Chevrières to the chapter of Beauvais by Ansout de Chevrières? It seems very likely, lean de Fayel was still living in 1284.
