Note NI67Andrew was a son of Phillip and Mary A. (Hipes) Noah. Numerous family records list Andrew's birth as 18 November, but one obituary lists 27 November. This matter needs additional research.

After their marriage, Zaidee and Andrew resided on a farm near Waubeek, Linn County, Iowa. They were engaged in farming, except for a few years during which Andrew was working in the mercantile business. In the spring of 1912 they moved to a farm northwest of De Smet, Kingsbury County, South Dakota. In 1919, Andrew and Zaidee moved into the town of De Smet, where he became involved in the real estate business. After Andrew's death, Zaidee returned to Linn County, Iowa to make her home with her children, dying at Cedar Rapids in 1947. Andrew is buried in De Smet Cemetery, De Smet, Kingsbury County, South Dakota.

When Zaidee and Andrew were living near Waubeek, Iowa, the post office for the area was at Central City, only a couple of miles from the family farm. Accordingly, records for this branch of the family tend to use Waubeek and Central City interchangeably when citing locations, a fact that the reader should be aware of.
