She was the daughter of Dr. Gideon Noble and Lucy (Wells) Noble.[1]
Chester, son of Amos Hollister and Elizabeth Wadsworth, was born in Glastonbury, Conn., Nov. 2, 1794; married Emeline, daughter of Dr. Noble of Wethersfield, Conn. The widow of Dr. Noble was the 2d wife of Amos Hollister, father of Chester. Chester Hollister died in Glastonbury, April 29, 1883, aged 88 1/2. His wife was living at that time.
She married Chester Hollister on August 31, 1818 at Glastonbury, Hartford County, Connecticut.[1]
"On her DAR application Emeline stated that she was born in the town of Cromwell, Middlesex Co, CT. A few years after the death of her husband she moved to Auburn, NY and resided there for the remainder of her life where she was cared for by her granddaughters and where she died. Her father, Dr. Gideon Noble, was a Revolutionary War Patriot, and Emeline was a DAR Real Daughter."[1]
She died on April 1, 1900, in Cayuga, New York. She is buried in Old Church Cemetery, South Glastonbury, Hartford County Connecticut. [2]
