Biography
Joseph was born about 1842 in Ireland. On 19 March 1866, he married Margaret Scott, the daughter of John Scott, at the 2nd Presbyterian Church of Stewartstown in the parish of Donaghenry, County Tyrone, Ireland. Jams MCCurdy was the officiant; witnesses were William McIntyre and Robert Beard. (At the time of his marriage Joseph was living in Sherrygroom and was a farmer.)
