Two things may be gleaned from this list, I think. Randolph is found with another man living on his place several times, Daniel Sanders being one of them. I suspect that he is Randall's brother-in-law. I have no guess who John Harrison might be. In none of the listings is Randall shown as having any slaves.
The first listing for Randall in 1769 shows him as "Randoll No." If one assumes that these names were taken down by the enumerator as he heard them, Randall was the name he used (not Randolph) and he pronounced Noe as a single syllable. I suspect that the principal enumerator for many of the lists on which Randall is found, George Summers, was an old Virginia hand and the name Randolph is one he would recognize sooner than any other variant and so entered what he thought he heard. The place listed for these entries is usually Cameron Parish.[6][7]
