Biography

Camille was the youngest[1] of 12 children in the family of John and Bertha Heitzman Nolan.[2] She grew up and attended school in Davenport, Iowa.[3][4]

Camille attended Clarke College, in Dubuque, Iowa, and graduated with a bachelor's degree in music from Northwestern University, in Evanston, Illinois.[5] She was a public school teacher before her marriage.[6]She also taught music at Annie Wittenmyer Home, in Davenport.[7]

She married James O'Halloran in Davenport when she was 32 years old.[8] They are the parents of two daughters. [9] James and Camille raised their two daughters in East Moline, Illinois. Camille was a member of the Quad-City Civic Music Group; American Red Cross, Moline Public Hospital Auxiliary, co-founder of Alleman High School Band Boosters; a board member and leader of Shabonne Girl Scout Council; and was active with Meals on Wheels.[10]

Camille died in the Sherburne County section of St. Cloud, Minnesota at the age of 84.[11]She may have been living with her daughter Mary Beth at the time of her death.[12]She is buried with her husband in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline, Illinois.[13]
