Biography

I was born on August 15th 1990. In Greensboro,North Caroloina. I grew up in a single parent household. My mother was a strong pillar in my life. She instilled in me the importance of education. I spent most of my time growing up in the Carolinas. My father was not so instumental. Actually Non existent. Thereby leaving a biological void within my lineage. Being of African American descent left that void even more so. So i began my journey to discover who i am, and where i come from. Perhaps it will lead me to where i am going. 12/12/20- Although this very resourcful site is reserved for humans, today is a sad day. I lost my partner in crime "Oliver" my pet begal. After 12 years of friendship and emotional companionship he had a good run. Our pets are truly our family members. And although i cannot add you Oliver to my formal family tree, you will always have a place in my figurative one. Love you buddy

Hi Cooper!

Thank you for adding your DNA to WikiTree. Getting the Best from DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.

I hope this helps! If you have any questions or problems, let me know.

Take care

Hi Cooper,

I'm so sorry to hear about Oliver. While you can't create a profile for him, you can include information about him here on your own profile as you have done.

I was just stopping by to leave a courtesy e-mail to see how things are going. Are you enjoying WikiTree so far? Have the tips in the New Member How-Tos been helpful?

Please do let me know if you have any questions about how WikiTree works, no matter how small. My rule of thumb when I started was to search for an answer for five minutes, then reach out to my Greeters, and then resume searching. I might have found the answer before they got back to me but they sometimes offered a different way of doing the same thing which was easier.

You can reach me by using the reply link for this comment or send a private message from my profile by clicking my name. See you in the branches,

Debi ~ WikiTree Greeter

P.S. Did you discover that the Tags you follow (names in green boxes) are clickable links to a page of other people who have that tag? They also control the information which is included in the activity reports which you receive from WikiTree. You can add up to 20 total, or delete some if you are receiving irrelevant information.

Thank you Deb for your kindness. I am slooooowly getting the hang of things around here. I have been a bit busy lately. (Concerning Oliver) formalities and such. Rest assured my lineage hunt continues..

Hi Cooper, Welcome to WikiTree! I saw your tags for Black Heritage and slavery. I would like to invite you join the US Black Heritage Project. You can find the sign up post here: https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/1056988/would-like-launched-african-american-black-heritage-project Emma :-)
Hi Cooper,

I hope you're enjoying learning about WikiTree!

Unlike a lot of websites, when you receive messages on WikiTree, you're actually hearing from a real person. :-)

Please leave messages from the Greeters Project on your profile for at least a month, so that other Greeters know that you've been properly welcomed. Let me know if you have questions.

See you in the branches!

Debi ~ WikiTree Greeter

PS Here is the link to the How-to pages that was in those messages.
