Biography

Henry Peyton "Hal" Noland was born at Sligo (Bovina, Mississippi) in 1841.[1] He married Annie R. Aldridge in 1861. During the War, he "served in Cowen's Battery, a Confederate unit from Warren County," Mississippi.[2] Hal and Annie had seven children before he died in 1893.[3]

His tombstone was erected in the Batchelor-Noland Cemetery by George Batchelor with the assistance of Gordon Cotton. It is included in the Nationwide Gravesite Locator of the Department of Veterans Affairs:
