James William Noland, son of Obediah Evan Noland and Malinda (Beach) Noland, was born in 1842 in Ohio.[1]
He married Rebecca A. Haines, daughter of Jesse Haines and Rebecca (Cowgill) Haines, [1]
He was a farmer when he and Rebecca appeared on the census of 30 August 1870 in the home of her mother and step-father at Gillam, Jasper County, Indiana.[2] He was a preacher when he and Rebecca appeared on the census of 21 June 1900 at Prairie Township, White County, Indiana.[3]
James died on 26 June 1911 at Fair Oaks, Union Township, Jasper County, Indiana.[4] and was buried at Fair Oaks Cemetery, Fair Oaks, Jasper County, Indiana. His memorial has a photo and links to those of family members.[1]
